The most beautiful gift of all…

Harsha and Prashant's Story

Having a child is arguably the most joyous moment in any couple’s life together. So, when this momentous event is hoped for but not realized, it can cause immeasurable heartache and distress. Of course, the wonders of modern science can step in and help with IVF, however success rates are unpredictable and it can leave couples feeling anxious and disheartened with each new attempt.

This was the case for Harsha Jangla and her husband Prashant Gandhi. After four unsuccessful attempts at IVF, they were left wondering what more they could do to achieve what they most desired and would make their lives complete; a beautiful baby. After reading about my work in Friday Magazine, Harsha felt that my cutting edge techniques using Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy might be able to help her. Going through four rounds of IVF had created that heightened anxiety and stress, which is often associated with that first feeling of anticipation followed by crushing defeat. It had left her emotionally battered and bruised and she felt she needed to rebuild her resilience and positivity.

Though no-one fully understands why, reducing infertility stress, does seem to play a major role in becoming pregnant. This was the primary focus of my work with Harsha. Allowing her to talk through and explore her feelings was vital combined with teaching her how to control her stress levels with ultra relaxation through hypnotherapy, proved to be a highly successful strategy. And the proof?

Well, I’m happy to tell you that Harsha and Prashant are now the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl Nia and I was honoured to be asked to their home to meet this wonderful bundle of joy!

In Harsha’s own words…

“After four attempts at IVF, I felt very stressed and the possibility of never having a child played on my mind a lot of the time. It was like a vicious circle that I knew I had to break and so I thought if I tried a new approach I might get a different outcome.”
The Hemmings Way
“Russell was wonderful. He was sensitive to my situation and taught me how to use self-hypnosis so that I could tap into ultra relaxation whenever I wanted. In fact, I used the technique outside of the private sessions I had with him and I began to feel strong enough to face another IVF attempt. I’ve no doubt it was Russell’s approach that made all the difference and when I found out that I was actually pregnant I couldn’t have been happier or more relieved. Russell really has changed our lives and I would recommend anyone in a similar situation to do what I did and get in touch with him.”
